What is volume restoration therapy?

Volume restoration therapy is used to restore volume and fullness to specific areas of the face and other parts of the body.

As we age, several changes occur in the face, both in the skin and the underlying structures. Loss of skin elasticity, thickness and tone results in sagging, drooping, and wrinkling. Loss of facial fat pads creates a visible loss of volume and a more hollowed appearance, especially in the cheeks and under the eyes. Our facial bones also undergo changes including resorption and thinning with age, altering the overall shape and contours of our faces.

An immediate boost in volume and rejuvenation to the treated area is to be expected, with the effect typically lasting 6 to 12 months.

What is the expected downtime?

Minimal. Immediately after the procedure, it is common to experience temporary mild side effects such as redness, swelling, and bruising resolving within a few days.
